My name is Harper Drew. I started this journal to write down all the mayhem happening with my friends and family. Is it just me or is it getting a whole lot more chaotic around here lately?

My parents and my grandparents, Leslie and Weslie, have signed up for a TV house swap makeover challenge, and while my mum is decorating their house in calming tones, my grandparents have chosen leopard print wallpaper for ours... wait until mum sees it!

Meanwhile plans are underway for the royal party in our neighbourhood with the prize for the best street and obviously we want to win! It's just Kate Middleton, Priya's cat, seems to be ruining all the table displays with her claws.

And to top it off our school playing field is going to be turned into a supermarket. But not on my watch!

My name is Harper Drew. I wasn't sure I was going to carry on with this journal. I started it in the summer holidays to write down the mayhem happening around me. I thought it might have calmed down by now but I should have known better!

For starters there is a snake on the loose in my neighbourhood—a 6ft Python called Betty to be exact, my dad's decided to re-tile the bathroom and nobody is allowed in there, and my older brother Troy seems to be constantly kitted out in expensive designer clothing. I'm the only one who has noticed he's acting shifty....

But I need to focus on organising a talent show to raise money for the local foodbank. It's going to be great...apart from the fact Troy seems to care more about gaining more followers, aka his 'DesTroyers' on his YouTube channel, than he does about helping me out.

Can Harper find a way to show her brother that kindness is more important than being popular?

My name is Harper Drew. I'm using my new journal to take note of all the totally ridiculous things that seem to go on around me with my family and friends. I seem to be the only one who sees all of this stuff for what it is. Completely beyond normal.

Recently I've been logging Drew Dial Ratings for all the mayhem. On a scale of zero to 10, how likely is someone to say or do something that would be less sensible than (for example)...a demented camel?

First up is the annual Drew trip to France...and while there might not be camels, there are bats and llamas - and my brother, Troy, who is so obsessed with his hairstyle, he won't even go swimming...that's a whole lot of ratings. I'm just hoping I land an invite to Maisie Felix's party when I'm back to distract me from the Drews...for one whole evening!
