Nell Leyshon

It is 1831 when 15-year-old Mary begins her story. In the summer she is sent from her father’s farm to work for the invalid wife of the local vicar, where the reasons why she must tell the truth of what happens to her, and the need to record it urgently, are slowly revealed.
