It started almost by accident, when the customers at Georgia Walker's yarn shop stayed for advice, coffee and a chat - soon Friday night was knitting night. Of different ages, different backgrounds and facing different problems, the members are drawn together by threads of affection that prove as durable as any of the sweaters they knit.
