PI Samantha Falconer is asked to return to Oxford to investigate the disappearance of a young woman. All paths lead back to the university which is unwilling to share its secrets. At the same time Sam must confront her own past.

P I Sam Falconer’s brother Mark teaches at St Barnabas College, Oxford. Mark vanishes and their mother receives a card announcing a funeral mass for Mark. Sam fears that her father's brutal past has come back to haunt them.
