Robert Sole

Maxime Touta, a successful journalist, looks back over his life in Egypt. In 1863 he was thirteen years-old when he and his family arrived in Alexandria, as exiles from Syria. With the building of the Suez canal, Egypt was on the dawn of a new era. This proved to be a dramatic and romantic time for Egypt and Maxime himself.
