The biography of the most famous woman of the early 20th century, Margaretha Zelle , Dutch courtesan and alleged spy, better known as Mata Hari.

Florence Baker was born in the 1840s to an aristocratic family who were murdered in the Hungarian revolution. She fled with a nurse, into the Ottoman Empire and was placed in a Harem. In 1859 she was presented at auction where she was rescued by Sam Baker, a wealthy Englishman, who became her soulmate.
