Having worked in publishing in London and Hong Kong, Polly Evans decided that life seemed too easy. She bought a bike and set off on a journey around Spain. Six weeks later she had cycled over 1000 miles, learnt about the history of Spain and sampled regional cooking, and still managed to shrink out of her trousers.

When Polly Evans read that the last bastion of masculinity, the real Kiwi bloke, was about to disappear she decided to go in search of this endangered species. She travelled round New Zealand on a motor bike and she reaches some unexpected conclusions on the new New Zealand man!
