In 1964, an Australian girl is eager to find the wreckage of the bomber in which her father died when it crashed in Italy in 1944. She employs Jack Kirby who also served in Italy. He is keen to find Francesca, the Partisan leader he fell in love with. What they uncover is more complex and dangerous than they imagined.
