Pip Granger

A new character, Lizzie, is introduced in this, the fourth in the series of Soho stories set in the 1950s. She takes in her employer’s niece, Peace, who has run away from boarding school, and when the girl goes missing again Lizzie recruits her new man to the search. Some strong language.

Seven year old Rosie is used to the motley group of adults who frequent the Soho café that she lives above with Auntie Maggie and Uncle Bert. Rosie is fascinated by the Perfumed Lady, who she thinks is a fairy godmother because she brings presents. This is, of course, her real mother, but what will happen if she wants to reclaim her daughter?
