Hermux Tantamoq is a mouse who loves the ordinary things in life (including cheese and doughnuts). Then the adventuress, Linka Perflinger, bursts into his watch-repair shop and everything changes.

Hermux is drawn into intrigue when his artist friend tackles a taboo subject - cats. Then, Birch, a chipmunk once drummed out of town for deciphering an ancient map of the Kingdom of Cats, returns with another old scroll and another adventure ensues.
