Hester Burton

Jo and Dick Hinton are farm-labourers in the England of 1830. The introduction of machinery has led to a shortage of work so that many men and their families live a life of poverty and near starvation. Desperate men will take desperate measures and one night the men of Stanton St Jude rise up in anger and despair against the tyranny of their masters.
