Star Trek

Spock returns to the planet Vulcan, where his mother is terminally ill. His mother’s illness causes him to draw closer to his father, Sarek, but, as duty calls Sarek away, the seeds of conflict are once again sown.

The U.S.S. Enterprise suffers extensive damage to the point that it cannot travel at warp speed. As a result, Captain James T. Kirk accepts the offer of aid from the captain of another ship from an unexplored sector of space. What Kirk doesn't realize is that this new sector is embroiled in a protracted civil war, and the Enterprise is now an unwilling weapon to be used in the conflict.
