Hakim & Arnold Mystery

London is hosting the 2012 Olympics, yet surrounding the glamorous Olympic Park are some of the most deprived areas of the city. PI Lee Arnold works in these streets, in a community fraught with tensions. Arnold is hired by a controversial stand-up comedian who believes she is being followed. Are her fears justified? A young Asian couple move into a dilapidated house in Upton Park. Nasreen, spends her time working alone on the house, whilst her husband Abdullah goes to work. When Nasreen's friend, a homeless man, disappears she reaches out to the Arnold Detective Agency. Mumtaz Hakim begins to dig into Abdullah's past and into the house itself which, she finds, holds its own grim secrets.

Ex-soldier Lee Arnold and his assistant Mumtaz Hakim run a detective agency in London's ethnically diverse, crime-ridden East End. Mumtaz is approached by an Egyptian woman, Salwa, whose husband is in Belmarsh Prison on terrorism charges. Salwa convinces Mumtaz of her husband's innocence and persuades her to go undercover to prove it. But Salwa is not what she seems. Trapped in an old tunnel that leads to the London docks, will Mumtaz escape with her life?

Private Investigator Lee Arnold and Superintendent Paul Venus are by no means friends, but when Venus' son Harry is kidnapped, the Superintendent doesn't know who else to turn to. Arnold and his partner Mumtaz Hakim soon find themselves chasing leads into several of the East End's uneasily coexisting communities. The truth, however, is stranger and more dangerous than either Arnold or Hakim imagine.
