Doreen

Doreen is sent away to live in the country when the London blitz begins. Her mother, Mrs Rawlings, is a single parent passionately devoted to her daughter and has never been parted from her before. But she wants her to be safe and so Doreen settles into a comfortable, middle-class life in the countryside far from her impoverished but happy life in the East End.
