Helen and Chris are in their last year at school when Helen discovers that she is pregnant. Deeply unhappy and confused, she resolves to break off their relationship. Chris is bitter at Helen's decision, believing that he should be involved in any plans for the baby's future, but Helen needs time alone to make sense of her conflicting feelings.
